Both the baby"™s unit and the parent"™s unit (receiver) can be operated either on AC power (two AC adapters included) or with batteries. With battery operation, the Easy-to-Hold Sound Monitor is completely wireless so you can move freely about your house and still hear your baby. With optional voice activation you can eliminate unnecessary background noise. Each unit takes one 9-volt battery (not included). The parent"™s unit also features a volume control and a belt clip for added convenience. Operating on 49 MHz frequency, it has a range of up to 400 feet.
